Movie Piracy has dropped in Madurai - Anti Piracy in Madurai

Director SA Chandrasekar has given an interview in which he has said - "

'Piracy rate in Madurai drops drastically'

Good to know! and he has mentioned in the Velayudam Movie release for Vijay that Madurai is their pulse in Film industry. Madurai's piracy has reduced for various reasons. Madurai police has become very strict and the people have as such not changed. Still there are people who watch it in CD/DVD and they just get it for Rs.20.

Another reason to the anti-piracy is that the players or producers who produce are big hands and they don't allow piracy for their movies in all the major areas in Madurai!

Actress Taapsee goes sentimental on Madurai

She is the latest dreamgirl of young filmgoers in Tamilnadu. Her supple performance in Dhanush’s Aadukalam gave her the ticket in tinsel town. Now, the actress is fresh from her Vandaan Vendraan shoot.

Even after she had finished her second film, after Aadukalam, the actress is still reminiscing her days she shot for Aadukalam in Madurai. “Those were the most memorable days in my life. While this is the case, a hero whose name starts with "D" who acted in Madurai had said in an interview that he does not like the city Madurai and he will never come back to Madurai for its dusty-ness! how absurd!!? This has fetched him an award in fact!!

Emotionally attached to Madurai

Compared to other cities in Tamil Nadu, Madurai is the only town which has Madurai Makkal to be emotionally attached to the Madurai city itself.

If you ask any one from Madurai - he/she would be proud to be from Madurai and they are always emotionally attached to Madurai.

There is association to the city with themselves for the innocence in people, Madurai non-industrialization and being an emotional village. Any one from Madurai would be interested to see improvements to Madurai and there would be interest to contribute to anything good for Madurai.

Recently, choreographer turned actor Harikumar - "Madurai Sambavam movie" pugazh..said in an interview that he is emotionally attached to Madurai town and he loves the Madurai city for the innocence of people there in Madurai.

Subramaniyapuram - a Madurai movie

Subramaniapuram, a cool Madurai based tamil movie by the director M.Sasikumar.

Excellent portrayal of 1980's youth life in Madurai streets. Best part of the movie is going back of the 1980's time - a 1980 period film.

Characters with lot of hair, un-shaved, bell bottom pants, simple, no bikes, no gadgets, much reality, actuality. Felt like went back to the time of my childhood neighborhood Jaihindpuram - near Subramaniapuram!!

The director has to have lived in that area, or a deep observer - otherwise it is impossible to do this movie like this. Actor Jay looks like Vijay a little bit, and his mannerism reminded of Actor Vijay and Paruthiveeran.

Very minute details are also carefully observed and taken care. Aluminum paint bus, cycles, long collar shirts, checked shirts, big belt buttons, always-cigaratte-and-tea-youths, Theatre posters(meenatchiyil, jegathaavil..) etc., To be frank, I don't see much of a difference between this movie and what Madurai is now. Madurai has not changed at all!!!!

"Kangal Inandal" song is very melodious and sweet song to listen to.
