Madurai Complex Bus Stand

Sam Kappa Venkatesh writes about Madurai Complex Bus Stand:

Have any one visited the Complex Bus Stand?
Complex Bus Stand opp to Periyar Bus Stand does not have a sitting
place for Passengers or a shelter from Sun/Rain.
There are shops all around and one has to wait on the path with stench
from the urinal at the centre (good selection of place) of the BusStand.
There will be pushcarts running around you selling various items and
believe me this busstand has been functioning for almost fifteen years.
The entry and exit of this busstand for buses is at absolute right
angle from road (and so it has been designed intelligently)
Members get down from your cars and take a visit once.

Madurai Buses

Sam Kappa Venkatesh writes about Madurai Buses:

Madurai Buses: Why can't they have proper colour seperating them
according to the services(Low floor,City Express,LSS,Ordinary).
Why Moffusil buses use all kind of colours eventhough they are from
same depot? Why there is no town bus timetable?
Why there is no citymap issued by TNSTC showing bus route.
Why standing passengers are allowed in moffusil buses?
Why not more buses in routes where passengers are more?
Why no planning?
Why should there be a video/audio player in a bus showing movie
clips/playing movie songs at a loud volume.
There could be patient requiring a rest or there could be foreigner
wanting to sightsee.
Let us Live in civilised way.

Party Meeting on Madurai Roads

Sam Kappa Venkatesh writes:

Party Meeting on Madurai Roads

Madurai can civilise by stopping all party meeting conducted on roads
blocking traffic.
Places like West Masi/North Masi Junction, Central Bus Stand,Nethaji
Statue Junction are used by Party men.
Can't the meeting with blaring speakers be conducted elsewhere?
Are the party leaders afraid that if they conduct the meeting at a
rent paid ground like thamukkam they will not get attention/spectators.
Or let the corporation select few empty grounds (not affecting
traffic) for all party meeting and agitations, collect rent from the
party(they can afford).
Show them the right way.And they cannot use the road free.

Teppakulam at Town Hall Road, Madurai

Sam Kappa Venkatesh writes:

Teppakulam at Town Hall Road, Madurai

Once Holy Teppakulam of Perumal Kovil is now place of thorny shrubs.
I am writing about Teppakulam at Town Hall Road.
It was converted to rain water storage area unsuccessfully and still
we find rain water stagnating before Railway station whereas the Teppa
kulam remains dry.Worse atill drainage water from nearby hotels and
shops around are left into the Teppakulam.
Can the shops around the Teppakulam be removed and the Teppakulam be
used as a open space for fresh air, benches neatly laid (No Shops) with
steps on all four sides descending down.
Maybe with a small fountain at the centre.

What we should do in recession - My views

1. First of all, we should not panic! Though this point is hard to follow, we should some how try to do this.
2. Have confidence in you. This point is also very hard for Married persons who lost their job and having commitments. But we should not atleast lose confidence.
3. If you are there in existing job, be watchful! Companies may even downgrade you by giving work which your juniors(whom you are managing) may be doing. Dont hesitate to do this at this point. Because Married people may have to support their family. This is better than without a job.
4. Wait for the boom period!.

Best wishes.
