Press or Media - Being Neutral and Successful at same time is not there!

Can you tell me a Press or Media in Tamil Nadu which is successful and at the same time being neutral?

You cannot answer properly to that question. I don't want to name any of the TV media, Radio, Newspaper or Magazine etc., in Tamil Nadu, but you know which media is associated with which political party etc.,

Press is supposed to be neutral and be working only for people's benefit. Why can't the press stand alone and not associate with one political party of Tamil Nadu.

This applies to both the major parties in Tamil Nadu. At any point of time, as a consumer least I should be doing is - read both the newspapers. If a website or media or newspaper is neutral then they are not going to be successful at all. That is the unwritten theory practically happening!

Mumbai based Asianet acquires Kannada Prabha Publications - Indian Express (Madurai) Private Limited

Mumbai-based media group Asianet News Network Pvt Ltd (ANN) has acquired 51 per cent stake in Bangalore-based Kannada Prabha Publications Ltd for an undisclosed amount, reported exchange4media News Service quoting a company statement.

Established in 2005, Kannada Prabha Publications is engaged in publishing a daily newspaper under the brand name Kannada Prabha. It operates as a subsidiary of the Express Publications (Madurai) Ltd.

Madurai Radio for Rural Community - PARD

Madurai based community radio - Vaanoli by The People Association of Rural Development (PARD) was officially inaugurated on 8 September 2009.

It was inaugurated by Madurai district collector Dr G Nammalvar who opened the recording room and Dr Sundara Aavudaiyappan, Programme Executive, All India Radio, Madurai Radio opened the broadcasting room.

Madurai City hosts several radio stations like Radio mirchi ,Hello FM, Suryan FM.

In those days, we wake up with a typical radio news read by Vimala Jayaraman and an elderly and mature voice. Or Ceylon radio with all nice and super hit songs. These days, Madurai people wake up with hot FMs in Madurai city. Very young jibbering, talking, talking, talking. Mixing information with little youthful masala and gossips in a productive way.

RJ-ing is an art and there are great RJs in Madurai.

Kriuthuga Udhayanidhi, MK Stalin's daughter-in-law and TN CM Thiru. Karunanidhi's grand daughter-in-law had launched a lifestyle Magazine in Chennai. This costs Rs.25 per copy and it is a monthly magazine.

The name of the magazine is "Inbox 1305". Everyone gets email, checks emails and writes emails. Hence everyone has an inbox. Concept is pretty similar to that. The email box with emails about Chennai's happenning. Location of Chennai is in Latitude 13" and 5". That is the reason it is Inbox 1305. Pretty cool name!!

Tamil Media is polarized a lot!

Till now, only televisions in tamil nadu were polarized. But now, even newspapers are polarized. There is no popular media, which is non-polarized.

Considering the fact that we are a democratic country, public considers that the media is a very important tool to make some important decisions like voting etc.,

Sun TV has a huge list of media power, which was stated in one of our earlier tamil nadu political news article.

Jaya TV is also associated with a political party.

Now, a low profit earning Tamil Newspaper is taken over by SUN Network and gets it to people for just a rupee! This has made destruction to the future of the other tamil newspapers - dina thanthi(daily thanthi), dinamalar etc.,
If you notice, these newspapers are towards AIADMK these days and against DMK.
