Beauty Contest in Madurai for Rural and Traditional wear

The novel contest "Nam Namathu Bhoomi" (we and our land) is to be organised by Madurai District Administration exclusively for rural men and women in various age groups including 30, 50, and 80.

This is not like The Cat Walk, but it will be the walk of Divine Swan - Anna Nadai.

This is conducted by the Madurai district administration. The contestants should wear Dhothies, Banian or shirt for men and for women sarees, pots in the hip or head etc., More traditional, more chances of winning.

Photo Contest on Madurai - Prize is Rs.5000

Madurai Photo Contest

If you have a photograph taken anywhere in Madurai, then you have chance to win Rs.5000.

If you don't have one and if you are in Madurai or around, step in and take a photo to win the prize.

First price: Rs.5000

Second price: Rs.3000

Third price: Rs.1000

The contest is conducted by New Madurai Foundation and it ends by May 31st 2009.
