Madurai IT Park - Less Occupancy Solution - More companies to come forward - Relaxing the terms by Government will help
The CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Madurai Chapter has urged the government to relax the terms and conditions for occupancy in Madurai IT Park Ilandaikulam and other locations.
The Tamil Nadu State IT minister R B Udhayakumar that the IT parks set up during the past DMK regime was unfit for occupation by IT companies. Last month, Udhayakumar, who inspected the IT park at Madurai said that the facility was not even fit to be a "children's park." - According to press report.
Ashok, chairman, CII, southern region said that it was not so. "The norms and guidelines for entry of IT companies need to be relaxed to facilitate even small firms to set up their units in the IT parks,".
Many companies are ready to occupy, if the norms are relaxed a little bit. Also a some of the important companies in Madurai suggested to share office spaces, and have mutual agreements, if Government allows to do so, since there are more tiny, small and medium sized Software companies in Madurai.
Local Madurai companies has to be helped in setting up offices in Madurai IT Park first, and then give chance to MNC companies in Madurai. That will help lot of economy in Madurai to start with.
