Power cuts in Madurai, Tamil nadu
2012 Ruling Government and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board,
What do you think about Power cuts in Tamil Nadu? If you just do power cut for 9:00 AM to 12 noon and 2:30 to 6 PM, how do you think we can run offices in Madurai?
How do you expect entrepreneurship to grow in Madurai, if you do power cuts for almost whole day every day? We work on computers and we need power. As a small business, we do not have strength to run companies with big UPS investments for computers. We pay proper taxes in all manners, but why do we have to get punished with power cuts?
This is completely not acceptable, if you just cut power for long hours. One or two hours in a day is accepted.
This is utter shame on the government!!

In Salem also we have power cuts from 10 AM to 1 PM and again from 4 PM to 6 PM and again from 6.30 to 7.30 PM . How is it possible to run a factory? The workers come to work at 9.30 Am and work for 1/2 an hour. Then they are idle upto 1 PM. Then they work for about 3 hours in the afternoon. So totally they work for 3.5 hours every day and I have to give them their full salary without any cuts. How is it possible to make ends meet? This Government came to power saying that they will abolish power cuts but the situation is getting worse. Chennai has power cuts only for 1 hour. How come? Are they the blessed ones? They are also a part of TN and should share the same fate. The MNC companies enjoy uninterrupted power supply. Why should we suffer. This Government sucks.

guys i totally agree with you..its practically impossible to run firms...but not only firms are suffering but all the middle families around are suffering...most of the industries n households who are big consumer of electricity have provisions of inverter and there consumtion haven't reduced....so the ultimate sufferer is middlemen....guys i also think that karuna's period is lot better than amma's rule.....n just 2 hrs power cut in chennai is xtrmly unfair!!!!i think we must unite together to bring down the govt. or else they must change there decisions!!
