Trichy International Air Cargo Terminal opened in Trichy Airport - Latest News and Updates Trichy Airport Madurai International Airport

The much-awaited international cargo terminal at the Trichy airport was officially commissioned on Monday. The new terminal has been built at a cost of Rs 1 crore.

Though the inauguration is completed with a low profile opening, the infrastructure is still not yet ready to completely have it function. That is due to many unresolved issues, which will be addressed soon.

However, once the terminal is fully operational for cargo handling, it would serve the trade needs of districts such as Trichy, Karur, Namakkal, Madurai, Erode, Pudukottai, Thanjavur for various non-perishable export items, and also serve coastal areas like Nagapattinam, Karaikkal, and Ramanathapuram for marine products.
