Coimbatore Collector Karunakaran - native of Madurai

M Karunakaran took charge as the collector of Coimbatore district on Monday. He succeeds Dr P Umanath, who is moving to as joint secretary, finance department. Karunakaran has previously worked in Coimbatore as district revenue officer.
