Madurai is located in South Central part of Tamil Nadu that has good connectivity by Road, Rail and Air.

Roads :

* 4 laned Madurai to Chennai (The Capital city of Tamil Nadu, a hub) National Highway (NH 32) via Tiruchi (Another emerging Tier II of Tamil Nadu).

* 4 laned Madurai to Bangalore (The IT Capital of India) National Highway (NH 44) via Dindigul, Karur and Salem (Important industrial Tier II of Tamil Nadu).

Madurai has good connectivity as far as railway is concerned. It has Broad Gauge railway connectivity to almost all the corners of India via important towns and cities.

Madurai has a nice airport with its new integrated terminal building and runway length 7500 ft enabling landing of A320s and 747s and runway expansion for length 12500 ft for landing Jumbo aircrafts is in the cards.

This is used for exporting goods such as Granite, fruits, Jasmine and other flowers, textiles, auto parts, etc.

Sea :

As said early, Madurai has a Major port Tuticorin in the vicinity less than 135 kms connected by a nice 4 laned National Highway and also railway line via Vanchi Maniyachi. Apart from that it has nice connectivity to an emerging port Karaikal by railway and also by road and an emerging port Nagappattinam. Also it is connected to ancient ports such as Thondi via Sivagangai by road also. It has connectivity to Major port of Kerala city Kochi via Theni by road also.
