Talking to newspersons after inspecting the Jallikattu venue at Alanganallur, near here today, he said the Tamil Nadu Government is taking all the efforts to conduct the traditional sports of Tamils in Alanganalur on January 17 despite of a hindrance following a notification issued by the Centre that includes bulls along with a list of wild animals banned in public performances. The government is taking legal steps to remove the obstacle. Similarly, the problems in registering bulls for the event are also being addressed, he added. The district administration is taking all the steps to ensure that the bulls were not subject to any kind of suffering and as part of the initiatives, training would be imparted for the bull tamers tomorrow.
