What to do with the wealth or treasures in Temples in india?

Around Rs 90,000 crore worth treasure has been found in the secret cellars of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum. The treasure from the cellars of the famous temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu has triggered a debate -- should the wealth be used for public purpose or should it be kept a secret?

1. If we take out and make it as money, it would be just gone and we would end up laying roads etc., and we would not save these treasures. Also, it would go into the pockets of few corrupt politicians and government officials. Do you want this to happen?

2. If we keep digging out these treasures, and show to the world where they are, then that shows ways for Terrorists and Thieves to plan out and rob all of our precious treasures. So, do not even dig these treasures. That is not good for us. Also, going forward we will have to pray in temples with security guards with their guns around.

3. In other angle, may be even foreign countries like those (maharaja) days might come and loot us, given a situation of Iraq invasion itself, looking for weapons, which were eventually not there.
India will not have control over that, if something like that happens? Will you be able to stop it, if something like that happens? Most of You and I will still be reading news in Internet and writing blogs or reading forums or posting your comment in forums, just like today.

4. Is it ok to keep it idle for lifelong? Yes, it is like the way we keep our parents jewels and keep it for life long right? and pass it on to generations. You know - that is what we have to do.

Whoever is responsible, please act responsibly and make these stay as it is and do not change these precious items.

A country can be rich or wealthy and there is a difference. Rich is somebody who can just spend and eat, shop, live well with their money sufficiently. However, Wealthy country is somebody who passes on wealth from one generation to next generations. I really want to do that and I wish all of the Indians would want to do that!!!
