Amrutanjan plans to open services division in Madurai and Coimbatore

Amrutanjan ventures into services with Care division in Madurai and Coimbatore

Amrutanjan Healthcare Ltd has entered into services segment through a new division, Care, a specialised centre for pain management that offers invasive and non-invasive pain management services. The company, which opened the first centre in Chennai, is planning to open around four centres in second half of current fiscal with an investment of Rs 1 crore per centre.

The division plans to open new centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad, besides expanding presence in Tamil Nadu by setting up centres in Coimbatore and Madurai, after September this year, said Ananth Krishnan, business head for pain management service division, Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd.

It would also set up satellite centres in Chennai, to work as feeder points to the main centre in the city, in the second quarter of current fiscal.

"It is part of Amrutanjan's plan to expand itself as a pain management company. Plans are to expand the centres in a phased manner, starting from south India and spreading towards western, northern and then, to the eastern parts of the country," he said. It would invest around Rs 1 crore in each centre and would tie up with doctors to open centres in selected regions.

The centre would manage acute, chronic and cancer pains through various treatment modalities including spinal cord stimulation, nerve blocks, intravenous therapy, vertebroplasty and physical therapies and minimal invasive surgeries.
